The Samsung group is a multinational corporation and it is the world’s largest conglomerate by revenue. It had an annual revenue of 173.4 billion dollars in 2008. It is composed of many international affiliated businesses including the world’s largest electronics company (Samsung electronics), the world’s second largest ship builder (Samsung heavy industries) and  also a major construction company (Samsung C & T). Like we said before the company is a multinational one, with subsidiaries all over the world, but the company is originally from South Korea, with the headquarters in Seoul. The Samsung brand is famous all over the world and since 2005 is the most popular consumer electronics brand in the world, and also the best South Korean brand. The company had a strong influence in South Korea, and many people are referring this country as the “Republic of Samsung”.

Like we said Samsung is the leader in the electronics market and it produces all kind of devices such as : TV-s, home theaters, blu-ray players, DVD players, Camcorders, mobile telephones, mp3 players, mobile phone accessories, digital cameras, laptops, printers, monitors, hard disk and optical disk drivers and others. Today we are going to discuss about some of the Samsung home audio systems.

The company offers some high quality home theater systems, and you will find both 2.1 and 5.1 systems. A 2.1 system is composed out of 2 stereo speakers and a subwoofer, while a 5.1 system has a subwoofer, a center channel and 4 satellite speakers. Since they are home theater systems they will also include a DVD player or something similar.

Now let’s take some of the Samsung systems and discuss more about them. Let’s begin with the HT – X 810 T system. This is quite an unusual 2.1 system, because it’s composed out of just 2 devices (instead of 4 – 2 speakers, a subwoofer and a DVD player). This system has one a subwoofer, and a sound bar. This sound bar has the speakers and also the DVD player included in it. So this way you will save a lot of space. But there is more: the system is wireless, meaning that there will be no wires hanging through your room. And beside all of this, the system has an advanced virtual surround sound technology, to give you a sound very similar to that brought by a surround system. The sound quality of the system will be very good, delivering a rich and clear sound, through all the sound ranges. Because it is wireless, you will be able to place the subwoofer wherever you want. You can even hide it somewhere under the desk or behind the furniture, but you will still get a great bass from it. Another advanced technology included on this system is the Bluetooth technology. So if you have a phone or a mp3 player that is Bluetooth compatible, you will be able to play all your favorite music right from that device, and hear it in the home theatre system. So no more burning cd-s or trying to figure out where each cable goes…just use the phone or mp3 player as a player and also as a remote control. Even the DVD player has a technology included, because it is a up scaling DVD player. This will mean that it will convert your regular DVD-s to full high definition,  making them perfect for your High Definition TV. So this home theater system will bring you both the best image and the best sound. It is not even necessary to connect it to a computer to see your images and listen to your mp3-s. Like we said it is compatible with a mp3 player through Bluetooth, but it also has a USB port. This will mean that you can copy all your music and photos on a USB stick, and see them on the home theater system. Or you can directly connect the mp3 player or digital camera to this device. The sound bar is also wall mountable, meaning that you can place it right under your High Definition TV, and this way you will save a lot of space from your room. The price for this great system is 500 dollars. Well it may seem like  a lot, but it will definitely worth its money.

Now let’s discuss about a 5.1 surround sound system, and this time we’ll choose a cheaper product: the HT – Z 320 T system, that comes at a price of 230 dollars. The DVD player from this system also has the technology to upscale your regular DVD-s and make them compatible to a High definition TV. The sound is rich, bringing all the sound ranges and also clear with no distortion even at high volumes. Many surround sound systems have a “sweet spot” – an exact location where you get the perfect surround sound. So in that case you will have to place your chair (or sofa) right in that place, to enjoy the best sound. But this is not the case for this system. Just place yourself  wherever you want in the room, place the ASC microphone next to you, and start the Auto Sound calibration feature of this system. The system will automatically configure all of the speakers and the subwoofer, so that you can enjoy the best sound possible. Along with all the components (4 satellite speakers, a subwoofer, a center channel and a DVD player), you will also get an universal remote control. With this remote control you will be able to control many other devices such as the TV or the AV receiver and also all the volumes of the sound system.

So these were just some of the home audio systems from Samsung, and of course there are many more others. Just read more about them on the official site of Samsung, or ask at any big retail store, because they will definitely have some products from Samsung. If you already used a home theater system from Samsung, please share all of your opinions with us, whether they are positive or negative.
