Paradigm Reference Studio
Today we’re taking a look at some spiffy studio loudspeakers coming from Paradigm Electronics, a Canadian manufacturer. OK, you’ve never heard about these guys, but it looks like they really bring sort of a paradigm shift with their latest Reference Studio models.
According to Paradigm, their Reference Studio speakers set an all-new performance benchmark in high-end sound. Embracing They are specifically built to offer the highest standard of technological excellence, providing breathtaking musical reproduction that captures the very essence of the original performance. Yup, we’ve heard that one before, maybe one too many times, so let’s what really sets these speakers apart from the rest.
The Reference Studio loudspeakers come equipped with advanced mineral-filled polypropylene bass cones in order to control the lower frequencies with tight, exceptionally well-defined low-frequency response. Furthermore, the S-PAL (Satin-Anodized Pure-Aluminum) midrange and bass/midrange cones yield improved sonic performance through enhanced rigidity. Gold-anodized solid-aluminum phase plugs were favored over the average dust caps, promoting extended frequency response and increase air flow for excellent power handling and phase response.
As far as enclosures are concerned, the Reference Studio loudspeakers integrate a high-pressure die-cast aluminum chassis. This exceptionally rigid design eliminates mechanical flexing and ringing while providing a heatsink for superior power handling.
