No matter what kind of activity you are doing at your computer (watching a movie, or listening to some music, or playing a video game), you will also need some sound. And to have the sound you must have some speakers or headphones. The headphones are really small, and most of them also sound really good, but today we are going to discuss just about the speakers.



There are so many types of speakers with all kinds of sizes, shapes and colors and also with different specifications and features. The smallest of them are the stereo speakers. These are usually small and have a rectangular shape, but of course there are some exceptions too. The stereo speakers are also the cheapest, and that’s  why most of the new computers come with an included set of stereo speakers.



But if you are not happy with the sound you can buy something better. Or if you want some speakers without any cables, then you can buy some wireless ones. Or if you want something for outside the house you can choose some outdoor speakers. And if you want something really big and powerful then you   can buy some floor standing speakers. These are big and heavy, but they will also offer you a great sound.

But today we are not going to discuss about some big and powerful speakers, but we’ll talk about some small and cheap stereo speakers. And for today we’ll choose the Maxim stereo desktop speakers. These are some small and compact speakers that are suited for computers, iPods and other types of music players (CD, DVD or MP3). They have a stylish and slim design so they won’t take a lot of space on your desk. So you can  use them at your  home, or at the office even if you have a very crowded desk. They are powered by 3.5 socket, so they don’t require any batteries or mains power.

They are build by the company Maxim, which usually offers cheap products. It is said that the real retail price is 20 pounds, but  we found them on a site for just 4 pounds. And from what the users are saying 20 pounds it’s not the real price, because it is too much for such small speakers.



Most of the users are saying that these speakers look really cheap, so they are sure that the speakers will sound really nasty. But it doesn’t matter what they are thinking…the important thing is to listen to the persons that already used these speakers and who really know how they sound. Sometimes things may not be as they look, and even some small and cheap speakers may sound good. It is true that  the Maxim stereo speakers don’t sound that good or powerful, but they don’t sound that bad either. So if you are not looking for some fancy speakers, and you want just some small ones to use them on your desk for the day to day music, then you should choose these speakers.
