Logitech Z-2300 Speakers

The Logitech® Z2300 are THX designed and certified. That means that the sound system was tested in very high pressure conditions by the sound quality testers and they did not find any problems or small ones in the sound quality of the speakers. We can understand that these will not be tore, dampened or decrease in value very fast. There are not many computer speaker products "blessed" with this recognized high quality. Let us not forget that this one is among the five speaker systems that possess a 2.1 setup, one of them being its predecessor, the z- 2200.
The package is made out of 2 satellites of 40 watts RMS each; they have a 2.5" polished aluminum phase plug driver and an 8″ subwoofer long-throw ported with 6th order bass reflex enclosure, a SoundTouchTM wired remote control that adjusts the bass and volume levels, a video game console adapter and the user's manual. The amplifier is ultra- linear and has a high capacity analog. The colors are black and silver. What makes Logitech® Z2300 special is the bass that can generate strong clear acoustic sound with low distortion.

Like its little cheap brother Logitech® S120, the Z2300 is compatible with Windows 7, but has a warranty duration of 2 years. The lack of information persists in this case, as well, one can not find anything about this system on Logitech's official web site (http://www.logitech.com/), except in the "Troubleshooting" section, where there are two questions: there is the name of the product, there is a picture of the audio system, but that is all. In your quest to find out more information about the Z2300 audio system, if you really want information about user manuals and Quick Start Guides available for Logitech products, you have to create an account. And if you actually make one, you are doing it just to find out that your "permission is denied" and that "This answer is no longer available". Logitech® is quite poor in giving details, on the internet.
There can be troubles with this system when you try to test its limits. For example, an user turned the music at maximum and amplified the bass for about 8 hours without cease. Therefore, the left satellite broke itself, turning the sound into an ugly weird vibration, as said by that person. It looks that the reason why this happens is because the coils gets very hot and the resistance drops from 8 to 4 hours, then to 2 and so on. The solution given by another user is going to an audio service to fix the coils from the satellite.

In what concerns the good parts, Marian is thrilled about the "wow effect" technology of the Logitech z cinema; he says that he tested the effect on a mp3 player connected to his x230 and the sound turned of wormer and clearer than before.
According to Techgasm.BLOG, the system has a great range (it can really annoy the neighbors!) and the audio is clearly heard, due to the a peak power of 400 watts and RMS power of 200 watts. The frequency response is 35Hz - 20kHz and it can be easily connected to a Mac, a PC, a portable mp3 player and basically anything that owns a 3.5MM output jack.

Sisi is also crazy about the clear sound and the powerful bass the Logitech® Z2300 can reproduce. She says the subwoofer is great, although the satellites are a bit smaller, compared to what it can do. She recommends it to anyone who uses rap and house, but I think anyone wanting to feel the real beats of a song, that "thing" that usually hides behind poor sounding audio systems, should go and try it. This audio system is designed for everyone's beating heart.

A rather strangely written review if you don't mind me saying. "Compatible with Windows 7" - well that's pretty obvious, since the system uses a standard 3.5mm plug it doesn't matter if the computer runs Windows 95 (which can play mp3s on 75mhz CPU and 16 megs of RAM) And the impedance / resistance is measured in OHMS not hours (lol) and you obviously aren't very technical because while that 8" Tang Band W8-670Q driver is rated for 180 watts RMS, the ST-Micro 25 wpc amp in the sub section is bridged for 50 watts RMS to the sub, not Logitech's fake claim of "120" and the other ST-Micro amp driving the 2.5" satellites is only 15 watts RMS per channel, not 40. The total power of this system is 80 watts RMS not 200 as a result of that. Same with the Logitech Z-5500 5.1 which is 5x10w RMS with 2x35w bridged for the sub for a total power of 120wrms not 505.

I've just clicked on the "Logitech" button in categories and oh... my... god...
What the hell are you doing!!! You don't have any idea what you are talking about! X-140 not Z-130. You called the X-240 an X-230 and the latter isn't made anymore. The X-620s are long gone and so are the Z-640s which you pictured. You also called the Z-5500 the X-530/X-540 as well. Did you just set up this site to confuse people? I think I will cry if I see the other brands' sections! WOW...

Hi just wondering I bought the Logitech X-540 5.1 speakers a few years ago and didn't get the game adaptor cause I bought it off the show room floor, just thought you might have some any details on how or where to get one?
