As a brand, Logitech® appeared in 1981. They focused on the mice, new at that time, providing a better way of interacting with the PC. The brand became the worldwide leader in this area, reinventing the mouse according to the ever newly upgraded computers. The first mice appeared in Le Lieu, Swiss. The production was then moved to Taiwan, US and Irelan and it is now in Suzhou, China, where there’s almost half of Logitech’s productions.Im December 2008, Logitech “gave birth” to its billionth mouse. The company afterwards expanded their expertise in home-entertainment system field, digital music and the console games, but they never forgot the PC, concerning themselves about navigation, home-entertainment control, gaming, Internet communications and digital music.

The Logitech S-120 Speaker System is better than its predecessor, the S-100 Speaker System. Better yet, this S-120 has a new design language compatible with its big brother’s, the S-220 2.1 Speaker System.

Logitech's S-120 2.0 is a standard stereo speaker system. It provides strong clear acoustic sound with low distortion. Its design is stern, with metal grille (all-matte finish); the two satellites are rounded at the edges and were designed with 3 rubber feet per speaker for greater stability on the desk. They are 1.2 meter apart from each other. Each one has 12 speakers in one shipper. The speaker system has two buttons for control: Power and Volume.

Its packaging has been improved for integrators, system builders and value added resellers. Available with a power supply of UK (240V) or EU (220V), they are designed in black and white color versions. The power and volume control are conveniently placed on the satellite with a 3.5 mm jack in the proximity, the power and AC cable length 1.5 meter, the frequency response is between 50 Hz–20 kHz and the nominal output power is 2.3 watts RMS in total.

From what I could see, the S120 are very cheap and they are still good quality speakers, for their size. According to their costumers reviews, it has a 4 out of 5 overall satisfaction.

Whatever your listening preference Logitech® multimedia speakers require little space and delivers quality sound”, said a fan of these speakers.

Of course, not every piece of technology is perfect:

"These speakers were much smaller than I had pictured. The reviews I read said they sound was good & even at higher volumes distortion was low. THIS IS NOT TRUE. These sound very tinny and I can barely turn them up before they sound garbled and distorted. I would not purchase these again. I bought these for my desktop, but will probably be using them for my laptop on trips", said a costumer from Gilbert, AZ

What’s curious is that one can not find anything about this system on Logitech’s official web site (http://www.logitech.com/). There’s the name of the product, there is a picture, but there is nothing more, this is about all I could find. Funny enough, we encounter the product mentioned again in the “Troubleshooting” section, where we can find out that a S-120 has a warranty of 3 years and that S-120 2.0 Multimedia Speakers is compatible with Windows 7. If you really want information about user manuals and Quick Start Guides available for Logitech products, you have to create an account. And if you actually make one, you are doing it just to find out that your “permission is denied” and that “This answer is no longer available”.

To sum up, the Logitech S-120 Speaker System looks discrete and affordable. It goes well with a quiet environment, a laptop or office desk. For a small area, at least, it is very good. If someone is looking for a cheap audio system, that does not make a lot of noise, this is definitely a suitable product. It does not give a lot, because of its small size, but its demanding is as big as the sharing.
