Logitech Pulse 325 3 Piece Speakers

Logitech is operating in the same domain (computer accessories) and it is actually one of the biggest producer in the world. It has its headquarters in Switzerland, but it also has offices in other countries, selling its products all over the world. Its products had become so famous all over the world, because of the quite small and accessible prices offered, along with a good quality. Since the 2 companies are related (one is the parental company and the other is a subsidiary) it is possible that sometimes you may find the same product with different names. For example the Labtec Pulse 325 speakers may also be found with the name Logitech Pulse 325 3 piece speakers.

So this is the model of speakers that we are going to discuss today. Even though it is an older model, and it is not available on the official site of Labtec, you can still find it at second hand, on retail stores or auction sites. As you may already know there are 3 types of computer speakers, depending on their number of components. First of all there are the stereo speakers, composed out of 2 speakers. After that, there are the 2.1 audio systems, which are composed of 2 stereo speakers and a subwoofer. This speaker (the subwoofer) will give the low sound frequencies (the bass) and it will bring a new dimension to the sound. And finally, there are the surround sound systems, composed out of 4 or 6 satellite speakers, a subwoofer and also a center channel.
The model we have chosen for today (Labtec Pulse 325) is a 2.1 system, so it has two small satellite speakers and a subwoofer. As you can notice, those two speakers are really small, so they will easily fit even on a very crowded desk. Even the subwoofer is bigger, you don’t have to worry about this, because you won’t have to keep it on the desk. Usually the best place to put a subwoofer is in a corner, under the desk. So you will definitely find some space for it under your table.
The two small speakers will give a clear high and mid range sound, while the subwoofer will bring a pounding bass, so you can enjoy a complete audio experience. Each of the small speakers has a power of 2.50 watts RMS, while the subwoofer has 5 watts RMS. So this means that the total power of the system is 10 watts RMS.

This is not something really powerful to rock your house, but it can be quite enough for a small room, to enjoy the day to day music. The impedance for the system is 5 kilo ohm input, while the signal to noise ratio (SNR) is 65 db. Both of the speakers are magnetically shielded so you can place them close to the monitor, without interfering with it. The system features controls for the overall volume, the on and off power control and also for the bass volume.
