Every child or teenager heard, wanted or even used an iPod. The iPod is a portable media player that was designed by the company Apple. Usually the music played by an iPod is heard in headphones (that are included when you buy it). But teenagers were not satisfied just with the headphones, and they also wanted to be able to share the music from their iPod with their friends or family. So that’s why the iPod speakers appeared on the market. Today all the big audio producers are making some kind of speakers for the iPods. These are small and compact devices, capable of rendering the music from an iPod. You usually just have to dock your ipod in the device, and play the music. Logitech is one of the biggest producers of computer accessories in the world. It makes a lot products such as mice, keyboards, webcams, gaming accessories and also computer speakers. But in the offer of computer speakers you will also find a few models of iPod / MP3 docks and speakers. So this is what we are going to discuss in this article.



Let’s begin with the S315 i speaker. It is a cool and rechargeable device, that will let you to listen up to 20 hours of music, wherever you go. Another portable speaker for iPods, which is also cheaper is the S125 i. It comes at a price of about 70 dollars, and it has a cool design similar to a classical stereo cassette player.  You can connect any type of iPod to it (iPod classic, nano or touch), and it will also recharge your music player, while you listen to the music. It is also small and easy to carry, and it can give up to 10 hours of continuous play, with batteries. It has dimensions of 3.35 inches (8.5 cm) H by 7.77 inches (19.5 cm) W by 3.54 inches (9 cm) D. It also has a 3.5 stereo jack, so you can connect other type of music players to it (a CD or MP3 player, and also a computer). This portable device also has a bass boost button, to bring you a even more powerful and deep sound of your music.



The next Logitech iPod speaker is the Pure-Fi Anywhere 2. This one also looks very good, and it is also pretty small and lightweight, making it easy to carry around with you. It has a rechargeable battery and a travel case, and you can enjoy up to 10 hours of music,  anywhere you like. The sound will be really good compared to other portable devices, because of the technologies included. It has 4 drivers which will give you a balanced sound, with a deep bass and some clear high and mid range sounds. The Stereo XL technology will widen the sound, creating an immersive audio experience. So the sound will be spread in all the directions giving you a nice surround feeling. Beside the traveling bag that you will receive with this speaker, you will also get a wireless remote control. This gives you the opportunity to control your music from distances up to 30 feet (10 meters). So it means you can change the track from your iPod, while in the same time you are making the fire at a picnic :). Now let’s talk about the MM 32 portable speaker from Logitech. This is also a cool looking portable device that can be connected to your iPod, but also to a CD or MP3 player. You can plug it in an AC outlet, but you can also use it with batteries when you are on the road. You will also have a battery level indicator so you won’t have any surprises while using it. You will receive a traveling bag so you can easily carry it around with you, and don’t worry if you drop it because it has protective metal grilles, so it can last longer. The sound offered is also pretty good and balanced, bringing both high and low sound frequencies. The ratings for this speaker are pretty good, with an overall rating of 3.5 stars out of 5. The reviews are also good, and the users were pleased with the product. One thing that they are warning you about, is that the MM 32 portable speaker is not compatible with a 8 GB iPod Nano. The price for this device is 60 dollars.



And finally the last of the Logitech portable speakers, the Pure-Fi express plus. It comes at a price around 100 dollars and it also looks pretty nice and simple. The speakers from this device will project the sound in all the directions, bringing you a rich and clear sound from any angle. It also uses both AC power supply or batteries, so you can use it anywhere you want, both indoor and outdoor. Unlike other iPod speakers, this also has an alarm clock. So you can set it at the desired hour, and wake up on the music from your iPod. It also features a wireless remote control that allows it to control everything from distances up to 30 feet (10 meters). The overall rating for this product is 4 out of 5 stars, meaning that it is pretty good. We found out from some of the users reviews that you can’t play music as an alarm, just a beeping sound that comes with the device. So this tells us why it doesn’t have a perfect score. But regarding the sound quality of the music, users were really satisfied with this product. So enjoy it too!
