Klipsch 2.1 Computer Speakers

So today we are going to discuss about some 2.1 computer speakers from Klipsch, and we’ll take the Star Wars™ ProMedia 2.1 Architectural Speakers. This is a 2.1 system, so it is composed out of 2 satellite speakers and a subwoofer. The subwoofer will bring the low sound frequencies (the bass) while the 2 small speakers will give the mid range and high sounds, and this way you will have a full and rich sound through all of the sound ranges. The system has a special metallic silver paint scheme and it also contains the Star Wars logo on it.

The subwoofer is all grey and features a silver vinyl for durability that makes it look like it’s made from aluminum. It also features new bright blue LED power indicators and this is actually a limited series of just 1.000 units. So if you are a big fan of Star Wars and you wish to have these speakers you might hurry up, and see if there are any more speakers left. And maybe if you don’t find them anymore for new, you might find them at second hand on some auction site or retail store.
Each speaker has a 0.75 inch poly compression tweeter, a high frequency horn and a 3 inch fibre composite cone woofer. So just the two speakers themselves will give a good and complex sound, and along with the subwoofer you will get a great audio experience with the full spectrum of sounds. Actually the frequency response for this system is 31 hz – 20.000 hz. The maximum acoustic output is 106 db and the amplifier is a Digital / Linear A / B amplifier with discrete MOSFET output power section.
The enclosure material for the satellites and the subwoofer is a medium density fiberboard. The system can be connected with a computer and also with a CD or MP3 player. It also has a had a headphones jack in case you want to enjoy some music by yourself, without disturbing the other people around you. Each satellite speaker has dimensions of 8.5 " (21.59 cm) x 4.2 " (10.67 cm) x 5.67 " (14.4 cm) and a weight of 2.1 lbs (0.95 kg). And the subwoofer has dimensions of 9.5 " (24.13 cm) x 9.8 " (24.9 cm) x 10.2 " (25.9 cm) and a weight of 16 lbs (7.26 kg). So these are not so small speakers, but they are not huge either, so you can easily use them in your room.
The voltage is 110 / 120 VAC, and too bad we can’t find the power specifications for the system. We just found out that the Star Wars ProMedia 2.1 system limited edition was launched in 2002, so today you will definitely not going to find it as a new product. But if you are lucky you can find it at someone who got bored with it and wants to sell it. Good luck!
