Best Buy is a big retailer from the United States of America that is specialized in consumer electronics. The company was founded in 1983 and since then it continued to grow and to develop. Today it operates in other countries too, such as Canada, Mexico, China and Turkey selling many products and making millions of dollars of profit. Best Buy even has its exclusive brand of products and this is called Insignia.

This brand was made to bring well designed products at affordable prices to the customers of Best Buy. Among the products made by Insignia there are TV-s, Blu ray disc players, home theater systems, speakers and more. Today we’ll focus on just one type of products from this company, and we’ll discuss about some Insignia computer speakers. We’ll begin with the Insignia 2.1 computer speaker system that has a price of 70 dollars.

The design of this 2.1 system is quite very nice, and both the two satellites and the subwoofer are looking good. They look like they are really powerful speakers that will offer a great sound. They are not that powerful to rock your house, but they are not very quiet either. They have a total power of 38 watts RMS, which are divided into 22 watts RMS for the subwoofer and 8 watts RMS for each satellite speaker.

So you will have quite a nice sound, with a deep and powerful bass from the subwoofer and good mid and high range sounds from the satellites. Both of the small speakers are magnetically shielded so that you can place them close to a monitor or TV , without interfering with it. One of these speakers also has the controls for the system, including the button for power, volume and treble. The knob to control the volume of the bass is located on the subwoofer. It can be connected to a computer, laptop, but also to other music sources (CD, DVD or MP3 player) and even to iPods. And it also has a headphones jack for the times when you want to enjoy some music by yourself.

And now here are the technical details for this 2.1 audio system: Warranty Terms – Parts - 1 year limited; Product Height - Satellites: 7.25 "; subwoofer: 10 "; Product Width - Satellites: 3.4 "; subwoofer: 7.25 "; Product Weight - Satellites: 2 lbs.; subwoofer: 10 lbs.; Product Depth - Satellites: 4.25 "; subwoofer: 8 "; Speaker Configuration - 2 satellite speakers with subwoofer; Flat-Panel Design - No

The overall rating for this system is 4.4 stars out of 5, which is quite good. So this means that most of the users who had this system were really happy with it. So even though Insignia is not among the best audio producers in the world, it had managed to make a very good 2.1 system, at an acceptable price.
