The Planets may be sort of small compared to behemoths such as Avalon’s Sentinel, but don’t be fooled by the sheer size of these floorstanding loudspeakers. Although they are no dwarves, the Planets pack some impressive design along with hi-fi technology at a relatively low price. First of all, these are omni-directional loudspeakers that can provide truly high performance on a strict budget.

Duevel claims that, with its unconventional design, it has managed to break through a new sound/price barrier. The Planets system makes the most of a 5" woofer and a 1" horn loaded tweeter, simple and ingenious crossover technology, reflective spheres and a finely tuned bottom ported cabinet. All these features are able to deliver deep bass notes, midrange glow and clarity and fast transparent highs.
The stunning speaker system is recommended for 2-channel music and home theater playback and is now available in multiple colors, black, white and silver. Here are some tech specs:

-Woofer:
Diameter: 150 mm
Ferritmagnet: 82 mm
Papercone
Rubber suspension
-Horntweeter:
PE-membran: 25 mm
Ferritmagnet: 70 mm
-Vented cabinet
-Phaselinear crossover
-Impedance: 4 Ohm
-Sensitivity: 85 dB SPL
-Power handling: 50 W RMS

The suggested retail price for one of these speakers is £800.
