ATC exhibits transparency, negligible distortion, low coloration, detail and other qualities that studio occupants entail. These loudspeakers are very user-friendly. They are a proper ATC design. In spite of their utter ruthlessness, the ATC A7 loudspeakers still manage to compliment rather than mortify amplifiers. These speakers present a curious blend which exposes a set of concessions very cleverly. They are so competent that they are used as benchmark when new stuff has to be assessed. Review of ATC A7 loudspeakers harmonizes the details about this loudspeaker. Explore the account below for the same.
Features of ATC A7 Loudspeakers
25mm Vifa soft-dome tweeter handles the high end, but the SCM10 tweeter makes use of a conservative magnetic structure pooled with ferrofluid cooling. The ATC A7 employs a smaller and lighter Neodymium magnetic assembly. The passive 2.5 kHz crossover uses parallel circuit topography to that in the SCM10. The rear terminal panel is a plastic molding and crossover is directly mounted to its back. Its cabinets have real wood veneer finishing. They are very satisfactorily made with an excellent standard of finish. ATC loudspeakers also built a centre speaker for surround applications. This centre speaker is based around two of the identical bass drivers with a single tweeter.
Recommended amplifier power is from 50 to 300 Watts per channel. As these speakers are very revealing, so using them in conjunction is very important. Take care that it is done with a good quality amplifier that will not deform at high signal levels. The maximum uninterrupted SPL is 103dB. Though ATC A7 loudspeakers are not shielded magnetically as standard, a protected version can be supplied at a reasonable extra cost.
Performance of ATC A7 Loudspeakers
ATC A7 loudspeakers are designed for the hi-fi market. They deliver great depth of sound. These speakers are especially and unbelievably revealing and clean on complicated acoustic material. They have the ability to present a three-dimensional soundstage, and still they are the least pricey speakers made by ATC. The sound isn't hyped-up, so while listening for the first time, some contending monitors may sound more remarkable, but after sometime, you get to apprehend that the ATC A7 speakers are screening what really is there. To add, it is because of their compacted size, that they fit well into almost any edit suite or condensed studio.
Review of ATC A7 loudspeakers show that they are high quality speakers. At the same time, they are very affordable. Although it is small in size, the bass extension is pretty sufficient to be used in small to medium-sized rooms with no boxy side effects of less classy designs. These speakers are tuned so highly that they give you chance to listen to the differences in stand. These speakers enjoy having a huge soundstage which is more or less full range sound quality. The incredible soundstage it has holds pinpoint imaging, professional and authoritative monitor pedigree.

Features of ATC CA2
- 1. Among the features of ATC CA2 preamplifier, it is worth mentioning that it is hand built in the UK and has ultra low noise isolated circuits. The CA2 Pre-Amp also features a new-fangled precision machined 12mm (.5”) brushed aluminum front plate along with IGUS ultra smooth bush bearings for the two rotary controls. To add to it, the pre-amp is now equipped with an on-board RIAA close cartridge matching phono board, tape and headphone outputs and gain controlled stereo sub out.
- 2. Substantial reduction in the initially low noise levels has been resulted because of enhanced Printed Circuit board layout and manufacture engineering. It has become a perfect choice for active systems as it is capable enough to drive cables up to 50 meters long. This feature also makes ATC CA2 desirable for power amplifiers where they are concealed for aesthetic reasons.
- 3. Phase distorting ICs in the signal path is avoided because of specially designed circuitry. By doing so, full utilization of discrete component gain blocks is made.

ATC C6
Published by Bogdan Alex, on March 26th, 2008, in the categories: ATC
Maybe you know about ATC and its state of the art loudspeakers. In case you don’t, I think the best way to introduce the UK manufacturer to you is by showing you their Concept 6 sound system.
ATC claims that the C6 is the ultimate expression of multichannel performance, providing an open-ended upgrade path to perfect sound reproduction. These are just words, you’d say. Sure any manufacturer tries to promote their products by saying all sorts of misleading stuff. That’s not the case with the C6, though. What would you say about a 2750W RMS Active system lying around in your comfy crib?
The system is actually made up of four separate ATC products that can be arranged in 5.1 or 7.1 surround systems. You get to choose between ATC's world-acclaimed SCM50ASL professional three-way active reference loudspeaker that is built to provide outstanding sound for left/right channels. Upping the standard, you can throw in a couple of levels of SCM100 or 150 monitors, while the rear surround component is provided by the SCM20AT which, again, may be upgraded to SCM50 or 100 monitors. You can even get an optional second C6 Subwoofer transforming your system into a X.2 one
For more information on specs check out this official page. Of course this is no cheap system and for an X.2 configuration you might want to make the leap for $20,000.
