Avalon claims that Sentinel features all the latest groundbreaking technologies in high accuracy transducer development. In this sense, outstanding improvements were brought to diaphragm materials, three dimensional magnetic field modeling, low-noise circuitry, resonance control, and temporal coherence.
As far as design goes, Sentinel already earned prestigious awards like the “Component of the Year” and the “Edge of the Art Award." Among Sentinel’s highlights you’d certainly notice the unique facet structure for proper polar response control. The cabinet construction uses Avalon’s proprietary multiple aperiodically damped internal chambers, coupled with out inert golden-section baffle design. The floor stand system also integrates dedicated subwoofer amplifiers with built-in active crossovers.
